Stanley Foundation Radio Program Wins Big Award!

Hi everybody. I have some REALLY big news to tell you.

One of the radio programs my friends Keith and Kristin worked on has won a very big award! Kristin told me last week, but I couldn't tell you until it was "official." Man, it is REALLY hard to keep a secret for that long!

Anyway, here's what Kristin told me. 24/7: The Rise and Influence of Arab Media won the Edwin M. Hood Award for Diplomatic Correspondence from the National Press Club. Wow! That sure sounds important, doesn't it? And guess what? Kristin says this is the second year in a row that a Stanley Foundation radio program has won this award. How awesome is that?!

You can see the "official" announcement here.

I am SO excited. Keith and Kristin's radio shows have won awards before. But this is the first award they've won for a program that I helped with! (OK, I didn't really work on the radio program...but I did travel with Keith and Kristin as they made the program.)

Kristin says the award will be handed out at a dinner in Washington, DC on July 16. Kristin and Keith are going to go to the dinner and she says I can come too! I sure hope Kristin takes my photo with the award. Look for an update next month.

That's all for now. Bye!
